Kokar Help CenterAI connections (MCP)
Connect Kokar to Claude and other AI apps so they can read and manage your workspace in plain language.
Kokar speaks MCP β the Model Context Protocol, the open standard AI apps use to talk to the tools you already work in. Connect your workspace once and you can ask an AI assistant to look things up and get things done without leaving the conversation:
- "What's overdue in Kokar?"
- "Create a task 'Draft the Q3 proposal' in Client Onboarding, due next Friday, and assign it to Dara."
- "Summarise the comments on the launch checklist task."
- "Log 90 minutes on the migration task for yesterday."
And, for the people who run the workspace, the questions a project tool normally cannot answer at all:
- "Who is in today, and was anyone late?"
- "Who is waiting on time-off approval, and how many days do they have left?"
- "Who deleted the Q2 Campaign project?"

What a connection covers
A connection is yours, not a workspace's. You approve it once, and it reaches every workspace you belong to. When you approve it you pick a default workspace β the one the AI app works in unless you name another β and you can change that later just by asking the assistant to switch.
In any workspace, the AI app has exactly the permissions you have there, and no others. That holds for the workspace's people data too: attendance, the time-off approval queue and the audit log are readable through a connection only by someone who can already read them in Kokar.
Two workspaces, one connection
Say "list my Kokar workspaces" to see them all. Then "in Acme, what's overdue?" runs in Acme without changing anything, and "switch my default Kokar workspace to Acme" makes it the default from then on. Leaving a workspace removes it from the connection immediately.
Removing someone removes their AI access
Deactivating or removing a member instantly cuts off any AI app they had connected. There is no separate list to remember to clean up.

Managing connections
Every AI app you have connected is listed in Kokar under Settings β Connected apps, with its default workspace and when it was approved. The list is yours β it is the same from whichever workspace you open it in, and only you can see your own connections. Revoking one there cuts it off in every workspace at once: the next request that app makes fails, and it has to be approved again from scratch.
