What happens if a workspace is not renewed — the grace period, and going view-only.
Because Kokar never charges you automatically, a period can end without being renewed. Nothing dramatic happens when it does, and nothing is ever deleted.
What happens
Seven days after the period ends, the workspace becomes view-only — everything stays visible, changes stop.
Renewing lifts it immediately. Nothing to restore, nothing lost.
What still works
View-only is deliberately not a trap. Everything you need in order to end it stays available:
- Renewing — checkout works normally.
- Downgrading to Free — also works, and also lifts it.
- Reading everything — the whole workspace stays browsable.
Your plan does not change on its own
Kokar does not quietly drop an unpaid workspace to Free. It stays on the plan you chose, view-only, until the owner does something about it. That means when you renew you come back to exactly the plan you had, with no re-selection and nothing to reconfigure.
AI seats are the one exception
AI seats stop the moment their period ends — there is no grace period, because every AI request costs real money as it is made.
Anything AI already produced is normal content and stays forever: documents, images, video, conversation history. Any credits you bought stay in the workspace wallet and are still there when you come back.
Frequently asked questions
Is anything deleted if I do not renew?
No. Nothing is ever deleted, archived or hidden because of non-payment. The workspace becomes view-only, and everything is exactly where you left it when you renew.
Can we still see our work while the workspace is view-only?
Yes. Every task, doc, message and file stays open to everyone who could see it before. Only changes are stopped.
How long do we get before that happens?
Seven days after the period ends. Those seven days are full access.
How do I lift it?
Renew, or downgrade the workspace to Free. Both stay available, and either one lifts it straight away.
Does the workspace get downgraded to Free on its own?
No. It stays on its plan, view-only, until the owner renews or downgrades. Kokar never changes your plan for you.
